Who we are
DigitalCave is a digital marketing agency operating in the United Kingdom. This privacy notice explains how we collect, use and protect personal data when you use digitalcave.uk or contact us via any of our forms.
What we collect
When you submit our enquiry form we collect the name, email address, phone number, website (if provided), preferred contact time, and the message you write. We also automatically log basic technical data — the URL of the page you submitted from, your IP address at the time of submission, and a timestamp.
When you read this site we use a small number of analytics cookies to understand which pages are popular. We do not run third-party retargeting pixels.
How we use it
The data you submit through forms is used solely to reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to manage the working relationship. We do not add you to a marketing list, sell your data, or share it with third parties for advertising.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted from our inbox and CRM within 12 months. Client data is retained for the duration of the engagement plus 6 years afterwards, in line with HMRC record-keeping requirements.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted suppliers to run the business — our hosting provider (Hostinger), our email provider (Hostinger Email), and analytics tools (Google Analytics). None of these have access to your enquiry contents; they handle data in transit or in aggregate. We do not share personal data with anyone else.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that’s wrong, ask us to delete your data, restrict how we use it, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we’ve handled your data badly.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@digitalcave.uk and we’ll respond within one calendar month.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (to keep the site working) and analytics cookies (Google Analytics, to understand traffic patterns). You can disable cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the site.
